PSPPIRE is the graphical user interface (GUI) and data editor for PSPP, a free, open-source software application built for statistical analysis of sampled data. The Data Editor: Features a spreadsheet-like layout with two primary tabs at the bottom. The Data View allows you to input and view raw rows and columns, while the Variable View lets you configure variable properties like name, data type (numeric vs. string), labels, and measurement scales (nominal, ordinal, scale).
The Syntax Editor: Allows advanced users to type, edit, and run command syntax directly without clicking through menus, providing access to a wider range of PSPP functions.
